Things got testy on Saturday night as the New England Patriots faced off against the Indianapolis Colts. At one point, a fight broke loose between Pats safety Kyle Dugger and Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman. The pair nearly came to blows before being separated by their teammates.

Here's a look at the incident in question wherein Dugger and Pittman got into a skirmish right in the middle of the game:

Based on the clip above, it appears as though it was Pittman who instigated the action. The Colts WR clashed helmets with Pittman who understandably took exception to the hit. Pittmans also pushed Kyle Dugger which resulted in the latter throwing what looks like a punch/slap towards Pittman's head. Patriots LB Darius Leonard also got involved as he shoved Pittman from behind forcefully.

It's a good thing the pair was quickly separated by their teammates as this could have gotten really ugly.

Unsurprisingly, both Pittman and Dugger were ejected from the game (h/t Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network):

It remains to be seen if the players involved in the fight will receive suspensions for their actions here. We will be sure to pass along any new information as they come.
