The Los Angeles Lakers are ready for what will be a very exciting offseason. They have the 2nd overall pick in the draft, have a couple key players who they need to re-sign, and will be pursuing some of the bigger free agents available this summer.

Brandon Bass, you could say, isn't exactly the most important player for the Lakers to re-sign, but he still can be an important piece for a team. Bass has a spectacular mid-range game and is a very solid rebounder and defender. He could've been a nice veteran presence for the Lakers as they continue their rebuild.

Unfortunately, Brandon Bass won't be back with the Lakers next season, unless he signs a new deal:

Bass had a player option for the 2016-2017 season with the Lakers and has decided not to stay in Los Angeles. He'll be drawing lots of interest from plenty of teams around the league.

While Bass's generic stats don't look too attractive, his advanced stats are very impressive for someone who didn't start one game last year. Bass had an offensive rating of 127 and also had 3.4 offensive win shares this season.
