Andre Drummond has played a handful of games for the Los Angeles Lakers already since joining the team as a free agent a few weeks back. He's taken some time to make the necessary adjustments with his new team, and Drummond has recently opened up about how life has been in LA.

Drummond acknowledged that he's still trying to get used to the new role he's been asked to fill with the Lakers:

“Definitely my role here is a lot different than previous teams I’ve been on,” Drummond said after Monday’s game, via Larry Brown Sports. “Me being on Cleveland and Detroit, they look for me to be the main guy to score points and do all the other intangible things.

“And while I’m here, I’m here to just make this team good on both ends of the court. Whatever they need me to do, I’m trying to get the job done. I’m adjusting very well. It’s taking some time but I’m figuring it out day in and day out.”

From being the top dog on his teams for many years, Drummond now finds himself in an unfamiliar situation wherein he is tasked to become a role player for the squad. Clearly, though, the two-time All-Star knew what he signed up for when he joined the Lakers and he appears to be more than willing to take on the challenge.

Drummond still remains to be one of the top big men in the NBA right now, and there's no denying that he will play a pivotal role in LA's championship aspirations this season.
