This could very much be the case, considering the two teams were at the top of their respective divisions prior to their highly-anticipated match-up. With the win, the Sixers (13-6) further strengthened their hold of the top seed in East, while the Lakers (14-5) slipped one spot and are now behind the Utah Jazz in the West.
