Russell Westbrook was not exactly in the best of moods following his much-anticipated yet rather disappointing debut for the Los Angeles Lakers on opening night. It's been a couple of days since, and Anthony Davis has now provided a bit of an update on Russ.

Everything looks fine within the Lakers camp right now, and Westbrook is back to his usual self again, per AD:

“He was himself,” Davis said (h/t Ryan Ward of Lakers Nation) “… Talking sh-t to everybody and all that. He was his normal self.”

Westbrook is one of the most competitive individuals you'll ever see and he's been known to talk a lot of smack during games. Apparently, this spills over during practice. Davis appears to be glad that Russ is back to his usual ways, though, and that he's quickly gotten over his forgettable debut for the Lakers.

Westbrook's first chance to redeem himself comes on Friday when the Lakers take on Devin Booker, Chris Paul, and the rest of the Phoenix Suns. This will be a rematch of last season's first-round playoffs matchup wherein the Suns made quick work of a shorthanded Lakers side.

Russ will want to come out with a better performance against the Suns. Unfortunately for him, anything less than a commendable effort will have the naysayers feasting.
