Just in time for maximum postseason drama, a report has surfaced that claims Dennis Schroder is unhappy with his role with the Los Angeles Lakers.

This story comes from Bleacher Report writer Jake Fischer, who wrote:

“Multiple league executives who have overlapped with Schroder told B/R they believe the ball-handler is looking to be paid like a top-tier point guard, and his role in Los Angeles may not satisfy his interest in being the leading playmaker for a marquee franchise,” wrote Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.

There's a lot to unpack here. Most notably: I'm not sure anyone outside of Dennis Schroder believes Dennis Schroder should be paid like a top-tier one. I mean, he's not exactly Chris Paul or anything.

That being said, the Lakers talent can make a case for himself this postseason even he helps the Lakers return to the NBA Finals.

Other than that, shooting below 34% from three and only 44% from the floor isn't exactly the kind of numbers that usually result in guys getting top dollar for their work.

Also odd is the “marquee franchise” part, as if the Purple and Gold don't happen to be the literal biggest, most marquee franchise in the NBA. Assuming the report is true, it is all a bit LOL-tilted.
