ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins loves to stir things up with his often juicy conspiracy theories about the NBA. The former champion ignited some curiosity online yet again following an intriguing tweet on Friday concerning the Los Angeles Lakers and their reserve guard Talen Horton-Tucker.

According to Perkins, the reigning champions are purposely trying to bring THT's value down for some reason. But as always, the enforcer-turned-TV personality refused to divulge further and let his followers continue the discussion.

The rise of Horton-Tucker has certainly been one of the most entertaining storylines for the Purple and Gold this season. Following his amazing run in the preseason, Lakers coach Frank Vogel rewarded THT by making him a regular in the rotation in his sophomore year. He suited up in just six games for the Lakers last season.

The Lakers are clearly giving him more opportunities this campaign, making Perkins' claims a bit outrageous. It is, however, worth noting that THT's minutes have considerably gone down as of late despite their long winning streak.

Against the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, Horton-Tucker went scoreless in just three minutes of action. He only played 13 minutes in their previous outing and 17 minutes in the game before that.

The 20-year-old forward will become a restricted free agent at the end of the season. Perhaps Perkins is pointing out that the Lakers are trying to make the former 46th overall pick less appealing to other teams by limiting his exposure. Talen Horton-Tucker is averaging 7.4 points, 2.45rebounds, 2.2 assists in 12 games so far.

Is Perkins right on this one? Or is he simply reaching?
