Los Angeles Lakers center JaVale McGee says playing with point guard Rajon Rondo has been a great experience so far, and it reminds him of his days with the Washington Wizards when John Wall was his floor general.

Rondo and Wall are considered pass-first point guards, which is a rarity these days. Most point guards in the league now are looking to score first and pass second. McGee, who is going to get most of his buckets this season off of lobs from Rondo and star LeBron James, appreciates the pass-first mentality Rondo has, via ClutchPoints' Ryan Ward.

When it's all said and done, Rajon Rondo will go down as one of the smartest basketball players to have ever played the game. His IQ is off the charts. He can see plays before they happen, and his passing ability is remarkable. For his career, Rondo has averaged 8.5 assists per game.

John Wall is also a tremendous passer. He has averaged 9.2 assists per game for his career. The two main differences between Wall and Rondo are that Wall is a better scorer, and is much more explosive. Wall is arguably the fastest player in the league with the ball in his hands going end to end.

JaVale McGee played one and a half seasons with Wall in Washington. The 7-footer posted 10.1 points per game during the 2010-11 season, and 11.9 points in 2011-12 before getting traded to the Denver Nuggets in March. McGee figures to get a lot of easy baskets at the rim this season playing alongside three great passers in Rondo, James, and Lonzo Ball.
