The Los Angeles Lakers have underachieved to a 13-12 start, not what many fans or pundits expected with such a star-studded roster. Head coach Frank Vogel has come under fire as a result of the Lakers' lackluster play, with rumors of him being on the hot seat emerging.

Well, Lakers owner Jeanie Buss spoke out on Vogel's job security on Tuesday:

Lakers owner Jeanie Buss feels that it's not fair to make a complete judgement on the job done by Frank Vogel until the team is fully healthy. Los Angeles has had players miss a combined 95 games due to injuries, with superstar LeBron James accounting for 12 of those.

It wouldn't be fair for Buss to judge Vogel too harshly when the players at his disposal really haven't had the proper time on the court required in order to jell.

Vogel himself doesn't seem too worried about the prospect of losing his Lakers gig, as he admitted he hadn't had any discussions with the front office about his job status or future with the organization.

Still, there should be a level of accountability from Vogel for the Lakers' disappointing defense. Vogel is, after all, a defensive-minded head coach. But there's still plenty of time for Los Angeles to turn things around.

Vogel has now gotten public support from both the owner, Jeanie Buss, and the Lakers' best player, LeBron James. Los Angeles fans shouldn't expect a change at the head coach position anytime soon.
