Jimmy Butler is undoubtedly enjoying his offseason ahead of his free agency — so much so that he is even teasing (or trolling) fans about where he could possibly go.

This time, the four-time All-Star posted an Instagram story where he could be seen rocking a Nike Air Force 1 with the purple and gold colorway, seemingly hinting about the possibility of joining the Los Angeles Lakers.

Of course, fans shouldn't read to much into Butler's choice of clothing and accessory. After all, as mentioned, it could just be the Philadelphi 76ers swingman trolling Lakers fans.

However, it won't be wrong to speculate too, especially after Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma started following Butler.

The Lakers are hoping to land another superstar to pair with LeBron James, and while their top targets in free agency are Kevin Durant, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson, Butler isn't bad for a Plan B.

The 29-year-old forward averaged 18.2 points and 5.3 rebounds last season, helping the Sixers nab the third seed in the Eastern Conference. They almost beat the Toronto Raptors in the second round of the playoffs, but thanks to a Kawhi Leonard buzzer-beater in Game 7, they were sent home early.

Butler was the consistent bright spot for the Sixers in the playoffs. With Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons struggling, Jimmy carried the offensive load for the team and had a stellar showdown with Kawhi. He wasn't in the better end of that matchup, but it's a reminder to everyone that he's still one of the best players in the league.

There are reports that Butler will sign with the Lakers in ‘a heartbeat' if they offer him a max contract. At this point, he may not be worth all that money, but if LA strikes out on free agency yet again, they might do just that.
