Since releasing the ZO2s, the Big Baller Brand has continued to intrigue many with their business decisions. One of them was to let Lonzo Ball use other players’ signature sneakers during the Summer League, instead of his own. However, he was back wearing them during the Panini Rookie Photoshoot held recently.

The 6-foot-6 point guard was in attendance and posed in front of the cameras, together with other rookies also in the venue. They were even interviewed by different media outlets, and were asked about how they plan to make an impact for their teams this coming season.

His Los Angeles Lakers teammate and fellow rookie, Josh Hart, couldn’t help but take advantage of the opportunity to find out more about his shoes, as he briefly interrupted an interview on him by USA Today Sports.

That quick exchange allowed Ball to make it known that he is planning to rock the ZO2s in different colorways in his first season in the NBA, silencing a lot of chatter about what brand he has decided to wear. The way he responded also goes to show how confident he is with his own shoes, just like the way he played in the Summer League, where he was named MVP of the tournament.

The former UCLA Bruin has emerged as one of the most anticipated players to debut in the league, in part because of how his father, LaVar Ball, has gotten a lot of attention on him. It may be considered as added pressure on his young shoulders, but if there’s any good news to the Lakers fans, this year’s second overall pick has lived up to expectations so far, and is coming in to the season ready to prove his worth further.
