Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant is confident Dwight Howard is more than ready for his second stint with the Purple and Gold franchise.

During an appearance on CBS show ‘The Talk,' Bryant talked about their “tough” time together back in the 2012-13 season. However, Kobe shared his belief that a different Dwight is returning to LA — one who knows his role, more mature and ready to help the team win the NBA championship.

“I think he's ready. He's ready for this next time around, do whatever is necessary to help the team be successful,” Kobe said. “And I think he'll do it.

Kobe and Dwight never had the best relationship. In fact, they often clash with each other and their disagreements during their one year together with the Lakers have been well documented. Even after Dwight left the LA franchise, they never got along well — with Bryant calling Howard “soft” during a game against the Houston Rockets.

Howard is looking to revive his slowly dying career with the Lakers. He is on a non-guaranteed deal with the team, so he needs to put in the work night in and night out to show that he can make an impact on winning.

Kobe has shown his belief on Howard. Now, it's time for Dwight to prove that Bryant is right and that he still has what it takes to play in the NBA.
