Lonzo Ball is known for many things: his outspoken father, his unorthodox shooting mechanics, his jaw-dropping passes, his reality show, etc. But one skill the Los Angeles Lakers rookie is not known for as much is his rapping. Yes, Ball had just released a full rap album two days ago.

Perhaps this time off recovering from a left MCL injury has helped him complete other goals, though not as significant. Ball had already been teasing a complete project and dropped some singles on the way. His new 17-song album is called Born 2 Ball and has baby Lonzo with his father Lavar as the cover artwork. The project includes the songs ZO2, Super Saiyan, BBB, and LaVar.

After last night's NBA Rising Stars Challenge, in which Team World blew out Team USA 155-124, Kyle Kuzma spoke to reporters. He was asked about his thoughts on his teammate's new project. According to Bill Oram from Southern California News, Kuzma responded:

“His album? Oh, trash… no, I'm just playing. No, it was actually solid. He's got a couple good songs on it. We make fun of him because he's like a Kidz Bop rapper.”

Kuzma made an allusion to the early 2000s group featuring children singing popular songs. Perhaps Ball's remix of Free Smoke, originally a song by Drake, could have made it to one of those albums.

As he deals with his injury, the flashy point guard was held out of the Rising Stars Challenge. He would have been a part of a Team USA squad that appeared to be no match against Team World. His Laker teammates had decent games: Brandon Ingram scored eight points on 4-for-6 shooting and added three rebounds, an assist, and a steal; Kyle Kuzma had 20 points, seven rebounds, and two assists on 9-for-18 shooting but had an atrocious game-worst plus/minus of minus-28.
