Los Angeles Lakers sophomore forward Kyle Kuzma is continuously making strides with his game. He's currently the team's second leading scorer behind LeBron James, and he's one of the few bright spots during the team's recent struggles.

Like everyone else, Kuzma would like to be recognized as one of the best players ever when everything is said and done. In fact, he told Chris Ballard of Sports Illustrated that he would like to attain something bigger than just becoming one of the best.

Kuzma aims high. He talks about attaining “Mount Rushmore” status. He says, “I know I’m going to be great wherever I’m at because I love the game.”

And it seems that Kuzma is on the right path in terms of achieving such goal. He's currently averaging 19.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists for the season while shooting 46 percent from the field. However, there has been some stretches this year when he's shown inconsistency on both ends of the floor, and he needs to change that in order to take his game to the next level.

He already contacted both Kobe Bryant and LeBron James for advice. Those two are considered by many as two of the four greatest players of All-Time, or to simply put it, they occupy two spots of the NBA's version of Mount Rushmore.

Kuzma is asking the right people and doing the right things. At this point, all he needs is consistency and more hard work. Being recognized as a Mount Rushmore type of player is going to be hard, but if he's determined enough, he might just make it in the end.
