The Los Angeles Lakers presumably have a star on their hands not named LeBron James or Anthony Davis. Talen Horton-Tucker's name continues to be mentioned, and this time, Kyle Kuzma offers his take on Horton-Tucker's potential, per Ryan Ward.

At just 20 years old, Horton-Tucker still has plenty of years left in his career. Playing as a role player for Los Angeles right now, the second-year player is receiving about 18 minutes per game. He's also averaging 7.7 points, 2.2 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game for the Lakers. Not the most impressive stat line, but it seems his teammates believe in his talent, and what the future could bring.

It's a bold take from the Lakers forward, as Anthony Edwards was the number one pick in the 2020 NBA draft. Edwards has phenomenal potential as well, as he's an athletic freak with an already impressive highlight film. Edwards is currently averaging 16.2 points, 2.5 assists, and 4.1 rebounds, however, he's also receiving about 29 minutes per game. He's much more involved with the Minnesota Timberwolves rotation, whereas Horton-Tucker is a role player.

Kyle Kuzma could very well be right. If Horton-Tucker happened to be on a younger team with minimal superstars, he could prove to be a solid player with more playing time. It's something that is not always the case in the NBA, but as Horton-Tucker continues to learn and grow, there is a possibility he becomes a household name five to seven years down the road.

This is also coming after LeBron James claims he's learning a thing or two from Horton-Tucker as himself. If the King can appreciate the talent coming from THT, then maybe Kuzma's take isn't so spicy after all.
