Kyle Kuzma's exit from the Los Angeles Lakers isn't exactly going smoothly. Kuz reportedly had his SUV stolen, with the suspect crashing into a gate after getting involved in a high-speed chase with the police.
The suspect was injured after the crash and immediately taken to a Los Angeles hospital after sustaining a leg injury from the wreckage.
Via TMZ Sports:
“Kuzma's Chevy Tahoe SUV was stolen somewhere in Hollywood and eventually became involved in a police pursuit around 1:30 AM early Sunday morning. The chase, we're told, ended with the suspect hitting a cop car, and sending an officer to the hospital with minor injuries.”
The vehicle is confirmed to registered under Kuzma, but the ex-Lakers star was reportedly not involved in any aspect of the incident.
What's still yet to be determined is whether or not the vehicle was stolen from Kuzma's Los Angeles home or from the streets.
No matter how you feel about Kyle Kuzma on the court, you hate to see his time as a Laker come to an end in such an unfortunate manner. Hopefully things get straightened out soon and Kuz can simply focus on having a bounce back year with the Washington Wizards.
