The Los Angeles Lakers revamped their roster entering this season, mixing several new stars and role players with their existing ones. But despite that, they've been unable to smush the injury bug that's plagued them for the last year or so.

While there haven't been any serious injuries, even the minor ones are causing problems this early for the Lakers as they pile up.

LeBron James had already missed a couple of games with an ankle injury, and now has been ruled out for a week or so with an abdominal strain. Anthony Davis hurt his thumb in their latest loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder and has been ruled questionable for their game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night.

The latest updates on the Lakers already on the injury report haven't been any better as well. Both Talen Horton-Tucker and Kendrick Nunn were expected to play significant roles for the purple and gold this season. But neither has taken the court yet, and Frank Vogel doesn't think it's happening anytime soon.

Via Silver Screen and Roll:

“I’m still not where I’m close to feeling like they’re back,” Vogel said. “THT is making progress. I believe yesterday he started shooting the ball with the hand that’s injured. So that’s a positive step, getting closer, but still not to where I’m thinking about having them in games.”

Talen Horton-Tucker is still recovering from offseason thumb surgery, while Kendrick Nunn is still recuperating from the bone bruise on his right knee.
