LaVar Ball has had plenty of interesting things to say about LeBron James since Lonzo Ball has come into the league. On Friday, LaVar was on the Bill Leff and Wendy Snyder radio show on WGN and was asked who the best player in the NBA is right now, and although he didn't pick his son, he did pick someone on the Los Angeles Lakers.

“The best playing in the NBA right now? Come on man. I’m biased. The best in the game right now is LeBron James. LeBron James is the best on the fact he’s stronger than everybody. It’s whoever is the biggest and strongest at that time. Like Wilt Chamberlain, he was stronger and faster than everybody. Shaquille O’Neal, same thing.”

Maybe LaVar is trying to suck up to his son's new teammate, because there have been some questions about how LaVar and James could co-exist after some of the things the elder Ball has said. LaVar offered up more rave reviews when he was asked about James' new school in Akron.

“That’s something good to do on the fact he has so much money. He came up a different way so he was like ‘I’m going to give back to somebody.’ What else can you do when you have that many millions of dollars. You have to spread it out. You can’t die with it so you might as well create some things to help others.”

It has been interesting to hear the change in how LaVar talks about LeBron since The King signed on with the Lakers. LaVar loved to say controversial things about James last season, but since the signing that hasn't been the case.
