The Cincinnati Bengals are headed to the Super Bowl. That sentence would have sounded absurd before the season began, and yet here they are with a date scheduled against the Los Angeles Rams.

It's no surprise that the social media reactions have been a mixed bag of stunned, proud, and in utter disbelief. One fan tweeted out that the Bengals making the Super Bowl is the NFL equivalent of the Sacramento Kings making it in the NBA. That take didn't sit well with a certain member of the Los Angeles Lakers known as LeBron James.

The Cincinnati Bengals making it to the Super Bowl is like the Sacramento Kings making it to the NBA Finals 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🔥🔥

The Lakers star responded that the difference between the Kings and Bengals is that the latter has a “generational talent” in Joe Burrow to break the curse. LeBron even compared it to his own situation getting drafted by his hometown Cleveland Cavaliers.

“But not if get a generational talent in the draft!” exclaimed the Lakers star. “You would have said the same about the Cavs before 2003 right? Joe B is the absolute TRUTH!! We all saw and knew it!”

LeBron James wasn't sitting on this Joe Burrow slander, folks.

King James certainly has a point though. Every despondent franchise has to start somewhere as not all teams are as successful as the Lakers or New England Patriots. The Cleveland Cavaliers didn't have much success in their history to speak of before lucking out on LeBron James in the NBA draft.

This could very well be the turning point for the Bengals franchise and lead to multiple Super Bowls for Joe Burrow and Co. It certainly seems far-fetched right now, but so did them making it to the big game in the first place, right?
