The Los Angeles Lakers bagged the NBA title on Sunday following a tremendous Game 6 performance against the Miami Heat. For his part, it took LeBron James well over 24 hours before it finally sunk in.

LeBron took to social media to send out an epic tweet about how he just fully realized their amazing feat:

James had another amazing performance on Sunday, which has been the theme for him throughout the Finals. In six games, LeBron averaged 29.8 points (on 59.1 percent shooting), 11.8 rebounds, 8.5 assists, and 1.2 steals, while also connecting on 2.5 triples per contest on a 41.7-percent clip. It was a performance for the ages for the now-four-time NBA champ, which led to him being awarded with the Finals MVP trophy for the fourth time in his illustrious career.

LeBron got a lot of help along the way, especially from superstar big man Anthony Davis, who himself 25.0 points (on 57.1 percent from the floor), 10.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.0 blocks. Davis was a defensive monster for the Lakers throughout the Finals, serving as the primary defender for Miami's All-Star forward Jimmy Butler. Davis set the tone for L.A. on the defensive end, which was perhaps the biggest factor in their championship win.

There was some debate as to who deserved the MVP Finals trophy more between LeBron and AD, but in the end, James emerged as the clear winner. While this is indeed an outstanding personal feat, it cannot be denied that for both men, its all about the championship. The Finals MVP is just the icing on the cake.
