March 16 is 3:16 Day, and for Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James, it was an opportunity to honor the great Stone Cold Steve Austin with his pre-game outfit.

James came into Staples Center on Monday night with his own version of the WWE legend's iconic Austin 3:16 shirt (h/t SportsCenter on Twitter):

James changed it up a bit, coming up with his own “LeBron 3:16” slogan. He also added the No. 23 and incorporated the Lakers colors onto Austin's trademark skull logo. In spite of the tweaks, the shirt is still clearly an ode to one of the greatest WWE stars of all time.

LeBron's choice of headwear is also interesting. While the red “B” on his hat does not look like the current logo used by the Boston Red Sox, it does have a striking resemblance. James recently purchased a minority stake in the MLB team and his cap seems to be related to his recent multi-million dollar acquisition. The Lakers star went on social media to share his reaction to the momentous occasion, and he appears to be pretty chill about it.

The Lakers host the league-worst Minnesota Timberwolves in Staples Center on Monday, and despite the slew of injuries, the defending champs are expected to carve out a win against the Wolves. James is expected to do most of the heavy lifting for a shorthanded Lakers side, and if his pre-game ‘fit is any indication of his current mood, then Minnesota could be in line for a Stone Cold Stunner ala LeBron James.
