In his 19th NBA season, LeBron James seems to be breaking records on a nightly basis. The Los Angeles Lakers forward just hooked up a big one on Sunday night against their division rival Phoenix Suns.

With his fourth assist to Lakers veteran Carmelo Anthony, LeBron James tallied the 10,000th assist of his career:

It's only fitting that first-time teammate, but longtime friend Carmelo Anthony was the Laker to reward him with his most iconic milestone assist.

LeBron James becomes just the seventh player in NBA history to reach the unselfish milestone, joining the likes of close friend Chris Paul, all-time leader John Stockton, and fellow Lakers icon Magic Johnson on the vaunted list.

What adds even more spice to King James' accomplishment is that he's the first to ever break the 10,000 plateau both for rebounds and assists. Not to mention his all-time scoring total sets him on a league of his own for several multi-faceted feats.

LeBron James' place in history has already long been cemented. But as he continues to make history on a nightly basis, his legacy only grows further. LeBron's Lakers may be in the midst of a chaotic season, but it's only going to last as far as this season goes. His accolades and achievements will live on forever – or until the next GOAT contender plays until he's 37.
