LeBron James is turning back the clock. The Los Angeles Lakers star is playing less like a grizzled veteran in the 19th season of his NBA career and more like he's actually 19.

LeBron dropped a cool 37 points with a career-high eight threes to lead the Lakers against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.

King James has been on a tear as of late, scoring 30 points or more in six straight Lakers contests and doing so at an extremely efficient level. What's surprising is his recent scoring binge is something he's actually never achieved in his entire career.

The glaring issue, however, is that the Lakers have simply not been winning these games. LeBron James has done all he can to keep his team afloat by being his most dominant self, but it still hasn't translated to team-wide success.

The Lakers star has scored 30 or more in 12 of the last 16 contests he's played in. But the team has only mustered seven wins in that span of time, with just one win over their last seven games as well.

It's telling that LeBron James' herculean efforts have coincided with Anthony Davis' injury during their December 17 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Ever since then, the Lakers have needed 30 from King James on a nightly basis – and even that hasn't been enough.
