LeBron James was reduced to a mere spectator as the Los Angeles Lakers took on their rival L.A. Clippers at Crypto.com Arena. Even without the game's biggest star on the floor, both LA teams managed to put on a show in the closing seconds.

With no timeouts remaining, Anthony Davis put the Lakers on top by one with a sweet alley-oop from Russell Westbrook. But the lead didn't last long as Reggie Jackson came right back with a silencer that AD wasn't able to respond to.

LeBron had to give it up for Jackson, who poured in 25 points and the final bucket to give the Clippers the win over the Lakers.

Despite the result, LeBron James was still proud of the fight shown by his Lakers group without him. Anthony Davis was a lucky spin away from becoming the hero of the game with an epic comeback from down 17 points.

AD was everything for the Lakers on the evening, piling on 30 points, 17 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks. Malik Monk also came up large with 21 huge points, stepping up as LA lost Carmelo Anthony to injury earlier in the contest.

The Lakers have a chance to redeem themselves with a big market matchup against the New York Knicks in their next game.
