Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James took to Instagram on Thursday night for his first live feed. During the stream, James was asked to tell Drake to release his new album — the follow-up to Scorpion. Though he may indeed know some inside information with regards to the album's progression, The King noted that he is willing to wait for the finished product.

“Can you tell Drake to drop his album already?,” James said during his stream, recanting a fan's comment.

“Nah, not until it's done,” the Lakers star replied to the question. “Not til it's done. Nothing is worth having unless you can wait on it. But Drizzy's album is coming soon, ya'll.”

Drake hasn't released a solo album since 2018, and fans are clearly looking forward to his next project, including the Lakers star.

“I’m out here, I’m working hard, you know. I’m tucked away trying to finish an album,” Drake said at a Raptors-Suns game in February, via highsnobiety.com.

Drake also noted that his new album will be a bit shorter than Scorpion, which featured 25 songs across two sides.

“With the last album, I went high volume. I did two sides, 20-something songs, which is a lot of songs,” Drake said. “This album, I’ll probably make it a more realistic offering, something more concise.”

James and the Lakers were enjoying a fantastic season before the onset of the corona virus pandemic. In fact, with a recent win over Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks, The Lake Show clinched its first playoff berth since 2013.
