Veteran small forward Markieff Morris will wear No. 88 with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Morris was one of the players who changed his number in honor of Lakers legend Kobe Bryant. Morris used to wear No. 8, which is retired by the Lakers:

Morris signed a two-year, $6.5 million contract with the Pistons in free agency this past summer. He split time with the Washington Wizards and Oklahoma City Thunder last season.

In 2018-19, Morris averaged 9.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists while shooting 42.1 percent from the floor, 33.5 percent from the 3-point line and 77.2 percent from the free-throw line. Markieff has career NBA averages of 11.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 623 NBA games.
