One of the pillars of the Los Angeles Lakers' dynasty of the 2010s is finally getting recognized. Pau Gasol, the stellar Spanish big man, has been selected as a member of the 2023 Hall of Fame class. Gasol is part of an incredibly loaded Hall of Fame class that includes some impactful names. After his selection was officially announced, the ex-Lakers star took to Twitter to express his gratitude.

Gasol is well-loved by the Lakers fanbase, and for good reason. He's been a treat off the court, often seen supporting the team from the sidelines. Of course, his on-court contributions will be well-remembered. His arrival in Tinseltown helped spark a resurgence from the team. He, along with Kobe Bryant, led LA to two consecutive championships in 2009 and 2010, along with plenty of playoff success.

The Lakers just recently retired his number in an emotional ceremony. Gasol's retirement ceremony featured a message from the late Kobe Bryant that was recorded prior to his death.

Pau Gasol will join an incredibly loaded 2023 Hall of Fame class featuring some of the greats of the sport. On the players side, Gasol will be joined by some former rivals: San Antonio Spurs PG Tony Parker, Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki, and Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade. Joining them in the Hall of Fame will be Parker's coach, the legendary Gregg Popovich. The final inductee is Spurs assistant Becky Hammon, who continues to break barriers.

Gasol and the rest of the 2023 Hall of Fame class will officially be enshrined on August 11 and 12. The Lakers fanbase will tune in to see their favorite big man be recognized for his work.
