Russell Westbrook is facing a tough decision this summer. Well, it's actually not that hard considering how all he has to do is to decide on whether or not he wants $47 million to play for the Los Angeles Lakers next season.

Westbrook did not have the best of debut seasons with the Lakers last term, so teams aren't exactly lining up to sign the former league MVP. At this point, it feels like a no-brainer for Russ. That is unless he really wants an incessant desire to leave LA and turn his back on a guaranteed $47 million.

This won't be the case, according to ESPN's NBA guru Adrian Wojnarowski. Woj reports that Westbrook will be putting pen to paper by the end of June:

“Russell Westbrook can opt into the final year of his contract at $47 million dollars, he's expected to do that at the end of the month,” Woj said.

This is not a surprise at all. Everyone expects Westbrook to opt-in to the final year of his deal with the Lakers, which will make him nearly $50 million richer. It is worth noting, however, that this is going to be the final year of Russ' current deal. What happens beyond this season is anybody's guess.
