The misunderstandings between former Los Angeles Lakers superstars Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant are well-documented. When Shaq departed from L.A. in 2004, the general belief was that it was brought about by his real-life feud with Kobe.

Be that as it may, O'Neal and Bryant has since made up and have become extremely close friends. This is exactly why Shaq recently revealed why he has no intention of watching the Hall of Fame ceremony of his recently-departed brother.

“I'm actually not going to watch the Hall of Fame ceremony,” the former Lakers big said on a recent episode of “The Big Podcast with Shaq,” via Shanna McCarriston of CBS Sports. “On the scale of sadness from 1 to 10, I'm finally at least at a 2 now… That would bring it back to a 7, 8, 9 and I can't right now. So I don't want to see old highlights that I'm already watching now.”

Shaq appeared to be one of the people most affected by Kobe's untimely passing in January. The former Lakers star himself previously admitted that he had trouble sleeping following Bryant's accident. Prior to the death of his former teammate, Shaq also lost his sister to cancer, and as he said himself, coping with these tragedies have not been easy on him.

He has somehow been able to find the strength to move on, albeit partially, form these unbearable events, but understandably, Shaq fears that hearing all the tributes that will be given for Kobe during his Hall of Fame ceremony will only bring back all the pain he's been feeling since his Lakers brethren passed.
