Talen Horton Tucker has turned it on as of late. The Los Angles Lakers' third-year man has apparently done so while battling a pretty significant injury.

THT has scored 16.5 points in the Lakers' last two contests, apparently doing so with a bum ankle. Horton-Tucker spoke out on powering through the pain.

Via Harrison Faigen of Silver Screen and Roll:

“My ankle, I had a Grade 2 sprain, so I’m still dealing with it. It’s still painful. I’m just trying to play through it until the end of the season because we’ve got to get some wins,” Horton-Tucker said. “Any way I can help, I feel like I need to be out there. I’m trying to play through it, (even if) it still hurts.”

The good news is that it's been playable for THT. But you never want players trying to tough out injuries with the risk of them potentially getting worse.

The Lakers aren't exactly in a position to rest their key guys much as they continue to try to climb out of the play-in tournament's 9th seed. That's why LeBron James has had to drop a 50-point game not one, but twice over the past week to secure a couple of much-needed victories and pad their lead over the 10th placed New Orleans Pelicans.

Talen Horton-Tucker has had a relatively underwhelming season thus far for the Los Angeles Lakers.

With the team looking for key contributors around LeBron James and a sidelined Anthony Davis, he's regressed offensively with a career-low 41.6% shooting clip from the field while getting a big bump in minutes and a much greater volume of opportunities.

Seen as a rising star not too long ago, perhaps the lingering ankle injury has been a huge anchor in what the Laker faithful were hoping to be a breakout season from Talen Horton-Tucker.
