Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis suffered a knee contusion during Friday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Fortunately, it's reportedly not as serious as it seems.

Davis sustained the injury in the third quarter after he got rolled up on the knee by a falling Jaden McDaniels. The Timberwolves youngster got pushed by LeBron James, leading him to stumble and hitting AD's left knee directly.

What raised concerns, however, was Davis' condition after the hit. The Lakers big man collapsed in the tunnel while heading to the locker room, with the camera capturing the pain in his face.

In a bit of good news from Dave McMenamin of ESPN, though, he revealed that Davis' knee is in “good structure” and the planned further evaluation on him is just the Lakers' desire to “take another image” and ensure the severity of the injury.

Anthony Davis is set to undergo an MRI in Windy City before the Lakers take on the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.

Hopefully, Davis will be able to play in the contest as the Purple and Gold look to bounce back from their latest defeat. Davis played in only 20 minutes and registered a meager nine points and one rebound. The Lakers fell 110-92, with Karl-Anthony Towns dominating for the Timberwolves with 28 points and 10 boards.
