The Los Angeles Lakers won their rubber match against the Denver Nuggets, 112-103, at Staples Center. However, during the game's dying seconds, Julius Randle and Nikola Jokic got into each other's faces with what seemed like not-so-friendly words.

As both teams ran down the court for a Nuggets offensive set, Jokic looked to get a better paint position but Randle wasn't going to let things come easy for Denver despite the game already being decided.

The Lakers power forward shoved Jokic but it proved to be too much that the center found his buttocks on the floor. Jokic wasn't appreciative of Randle's physicality and he went up straight toward the latter until cooler heads intervened to have them separated.

These two teams are now a perfect 3-for-3 when it comes to late or post-game drama. During their first meeting, it was Jamal Murray on Lonzo Ball. A few nights ago, Luke Walton was fuming mad over what he called “disrespectful” actions from — you guessed it right — Murray.

Between Randle and Jokic, it was the former who had the last laugh — make it two laughs. Outside of the Lakers' win, the lefty big man also had the better individual numbers compared to the Serbian sensation. Randle had 26 points, 13 rebounds, and two assists, while Jokic put up a quiet 15 markers to go along with nine rebounds and four assists.

Too bad these teams won't get to face each other when the stakes are higher come playoff time. However, they're both primed to eventually be perennial fixtures in the postseason in the near future.
