There's another Ball brother in the NBA with LaMelo Ball being selected by the Charlotte Hornets with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. After seeing his brother celebrate on draft night, Lonzo Ball is already looking forward to when his New Orleans Pelicans face the Hornets.

Throughout their entire life, Lonzo and LaMelo have competed with and against one another in basketball. Therefore, Lonzo understands what LaMelo wants to do when the ball is in his hands. Even though LaMelo has evolved his game, Lonzo gets to see him play more often than other players around the league get a chance to.

So when the Pelicans and Hornets face each other, Lonzo wants to welcome his brother to the NBA by taking up the task of defending him. Dating back to his days at UCLA, Lonzo is well-known for his perimeter defense.

As a matter of fact, regardless of what people want to say about him, Lonzo is one of the best perimeter defenders in the NBA. He's also become a much-improved shooter, shooting a career-best 37.5 percent from three-point range in 2019-2020.

Upon being selected by the Hornets, LaMelo will likely have a prominent role on the team immediately. Besides Devonte' Graham, Terry Rozier, and Miles Bridges, Charlotte isn't exactly loaded with talented players.

Despite the NBA eyeing December 22 as the start date for the 2020-2021 season, the schedule has yet to be released for each team. But when the schedules are released, Lonzo hopes to have a chance to guard his younger brother in his rookie season.
