A lot may have already been said about Lonzo Ball, from his Chino Hills days to his recent Summer League play. Some are believing that he will be a star in the NBA, while others remain skeptical until he plays against real NBA competition. That said, the opinion on him by the public may not be consistent, but one thing that cannot be taken away from him is how he works hard to improve his game.

According to his agent and trainer, Darren Moore, the Los Angeles Lakers rookie deserves the success he’s having now as he is always focused on his game. Moore even added, via Candace Buckner of the Washington Post, that Ball is very dedicated to his craft, and is his own words, “all about the game.”

“He’s true to the game. He’s not about the extra stuff. He’s not about the parties, he’s not about doing this and doing that. And as a fan, that’s what you want. You want somebody that’s all about the game, that just wants to get in the gym and get better, that wants to learn, that wants to win. That’s what it’s about. It’s not about the glitz and the glamour, that’s going to come with it if you work hard. But he’s all about basketball. That’s all that matters to him and I believe that people 10 to 15 years from now are going to appreciate that.”

Moore’s statement definitely says a lot about Ball’s work ethic and how he wants to be the best player that he can be. Love him or hate him, Lonzo's skillset is impressive and he knows how to use it to his advantage. Despite all the negative publicity he received, mostly due to his father’s antics, he can still be a role model to the youth, especially through his dedication to the game.

If Ball can continue his impressive play once the regular season starts, more positive news can be expected to be reported about him. His hard work definitely needs more exposure as it fuels him to fulfill the expectations placed on him as a franchise-changer.

With more than two months left before the new campaign, the Lakers are hoping that Ball continues to stay true to his agent’s words to make a big impact on the team immediately.
