The Wizards are feeling good about themselves right now. And why not after beating the Cavaliers, 127-115, last night.

The Wizards are now 45-38 and just 2.5 games back of the Cavs for the top seed in the Eastern Conference, and a half game behind the Celtics for the second spot.

It's all enough for Markieff Morris to say this after the big win.

Via CSN Mid Atlantic:

“Those are great players they got but we feel as though we're the best team in the league,” said Morris, who has never been to the postseason in his previous six seasons. “If we play to our abilities, we can't be stopped.”

No one else is going to say the Wizards are the best team in the NBA right now but there's nothing wrong with being confident in yourself.

The Wizards have been one of the hottest teams in the league the second half of the season and look as if they're in better position to make noise in the postseason than they have been in a very long time.

Wins over elite teams like the Cavs only prove how serious the Wizards are right now. They'd never be favored in a series against the defending champs, but maybe they could push them a little more than most people think.
