After the Dallas Mavericks traded Luka Doncic to the Los Angeles Lakers, fans of the team have not been feeling their best over the past couple of days. The Mavericks seem to understand their fans' emotions and are allowing season ticket holders to get a refund after they canceled their membership, according to ESPN's Tim MacMahon.
“We value every season ticket member relationship and reps are available to take calls from members with any concerns or questions,” Mavs vice president of corporate communications Erin Finegold said via text message.
On the day of the trade, Mavericks fans were outside of the arena protesting, with some of the signs criticizing general manager Nico Harrison for making the move. During his press conference, Harrison was asked what was the message he had for fans who may be frustrated about the trade.

Mavericks fans were excited about the team they had, but a big reason for their excitement was being able to see Doncic perform on a nightly basis. With Doncic now gone, it's uncertain if those fans will have the same joy they had once before.
There have been many things thrown out as to why the Mavericks traded Doncic, and one of them was his conditioning. Doncic may not have been in the shape that the Mavericks wanted, but he still went out and dominated the opposing team on a nightly basis. It was probably too soon to give up on a player of Doncic's caliber and at his age, but hopefully what Harrison did will benefit them in the long run.
