The Dallas Mavericks are set to host one of the top teams in the NBA right now in the Brooklyn Nets on Tuesday in a matchup that will put the Mavs' title credentials to the test. Dallas has received a major boost ahead of that marquee matchup with both Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis making significant progress in their road to recovery from respective injuries.

According to Mavs insider Kevin Gray Jr. of 105.3 The Fan, both Mavs stars were able to participate in practice on Monday:

There was even some footage of Porzingis putting up some shots during practice, which appears to be quite encouraging for his status against the Nets:

Porzingis has been dealing with a knee injury and was forced to sit out the Mavs' past two games. It looks like he could be back in action on Tuesday, and at this point, Dallas could really use their star big man back on the floor.

Doncic, on the other hand, doesn't appear to have made as much progress as Porzingis. The All-Star point guard was unable to take the floor against the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday and he is now in danger of missing his second consecutive game. Doncic is dealing with a sprain on his left thumb as well as some soreness on his left ankle. Despite the fact that he was able to practice on Monday, the Mavs have tagged him as questionable against Kevin Durant and Co.
