The Dallas Mavericks have erased the Phoenix Suns' 2-0 lead in their Western Conference semifinals series, and Luka Doncic knows exactly how they did it.

After falling to a two-game hole, fans and experts alike have counted the Mavs out against the Suns. No one believed Dallas can still come back from such a huge deficit, especially given how they played in Games 1 and 2. Well, no one except themselves, as it seems.

As Doncic said, they never lost faith that they can still make it a series–more than just avoiding a sweep. And sure enough, here they are now at 2-2 heading back to Phoenix for Game 5.

“If we have 1 percent chance, we’re going to believe. This team is special. This bond is special,” Doncic said, per Callie Caplan of the Dallas Morning News.

Dallas has shown its resilience in getting out of the 2-0 hole, and that will certainly be crucial as the team attempts to win one on the road. As Luka Doncic highlighted, it could be the biggest factor that decides the Mavs-Suns series.

Of course things won't get any easier for the Mavs moving forward. The Suns are expected to make some adjustments and get more physical come Game 5 to protect their homecourt advantage. If there is one thing going right for Dallas, though, it surely looks like they are in good spirits and in a great place mentally that should fuel them in their comeback bid.
