It's not out of the ordinary for an NBA superstar to have rumored frustration against his own franchise. Dallas Mavericks wunderkind Luka Doncic is no different, as he was at the center of some controversy just a few months back that painted him as unhappy with the team that drafted him back in 2018.

But with the figure Doncic rumored to beef with gone, Kristaps Porzingis playing like he's in New York, and the Mavs finding moderate success early on with new coach Jason Kidd, things have seemingly looked up for keeping Luka happy.

If his father's words are any indication, Luka Doncic is just fine in Dallas. In a recent interview with Dallas Morning News' Brad Townsend, Sasa Doncic spoke out on what he's been sensing from his son.

Via Dallas Morning News:

Sasa Doncic, a bear of a man at 6-foot-7, grinned as he got a hug and handshake from Terrell-native Jamie Foxx, but that wasn’t the only reason Papa Doncic was smiling. He told The News that he’s happy his son is a Maverick.

“More than happy,” Sasa amended.

Why?

“Because I saw his smile and I thought, ‘He’s satisfied,’” Sasa said. “And me as a father, I’m the happiest man in the world when you see your child is happy.”

There's no better source than someone's own flesh and blood. The Mavs star's father went on to cite Dirk Nowitzki as a huge influence in Luka satisfaction level.

If he could carve out anything like the career Dirk had, with a title on top as well, then Dallas has a lot to be excited about.
