Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban gave an update on Luka Doncic's ankle injury, comparing it to former Mavs star Dirk Nowitzki's injury before.

Per Brad Towsend of the Dallas Morning News, Cuban has no idea when the Slovenian will return. However, Doncic is already moving about freely with no visible limp.

Even without Doncic, the Mavs sneaked in a victory over the powerhouse Milwaukee Bucks squad. This dismisses the belief that the Mavericks squad is entirely dependent on Doncic on offense.

Analysts even believe that Doncic's injury is a blessing in disguise for the Rick Carlisle-led squad. After all, Kristaps Porzingis — which showcased bits of inconsistency — has a chance to return to All-Star form being that he'll be the team's offensive focal point without Doncic.

Apart from the Latvian, Jalen Bruson, too has a chance to improve on his game. He's seen as the team's second-best facilitator with Doncic in the lineup. Without him, expect Carlisle to field him more often than not. This will only create wonders for Brunson's potential.

Be as it may, it'll be an interesting stretch of games for the Mavs without Doncic on their side. But for fans who are worrying about the Slovenian's status, they shouldn't fret too much. His injury isn't that serious and he'll be back in action in no time.
