The Dallas Mavericks came away with an impressive overtime victory on Wednesday in a tightly contested matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans. This was thanks in large part to a sensational performance from Mavs star Luka Doncic, who took over in the extra period to lead his side to victory.

Following the win, Doncic met up with soccer superstar Eden Hazard, who currently plays for Real Madrid. The two engaged in a traditional jersey swap, with Hazard handing over his own all-white Madrid kit to the Mavs youngster. There was a bit of comic relief toward the end of the brief encounter, though, with Dallas big man Boban Marjanovic crashing the party:

Marjanovic is probably a soccer fan himself, and he could not let the opportunity to meet one of the sport's biggest names pass without saying hello.

As for Doncic, it is worth noting that he also donned the Real Madrid jersey — albeit in a different sport — prior to his big move to the NBA. It was actually in Spain where he cut his teeth as a teenager, en route to winning the coveted EuroLeague MVP title in his final year with the club.

Doncic has certainly carried over his sublime form from Europe all the way to the United States. On Wednesday against the Pelicans, he was his usual dominant self, putting up an amazing 30-point, 17-rebound, 10-assist triple-double, along with five triples, a steal, and a block.

Thanks to Doncic's heroics, the Mavs were able to hold off a relentless Pelicans side, as Dallas escaped with a  127-123 victory.
