It took less than two seasons for Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic to set the Mavs record for career triple-doubles with 22, per Dwain Price of Mavs.com.

Doncic accomplished the feat during Wednesday's 127-123 overtime victory over rookie sensation Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans.

In the game, the Slovenian guard notched 30 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists on 9-20 shooting from the field and 4-11 shooting from beyond the arc.

Doncic passed former Mavs point guard Jason Kidd who spent eight non-consecutive seasons with Dallas, making two All-Star appearances during that time. Kidd also ranks fourth all-time with 107 career triple-doubles in 19 NBA seasons.

Doncic is nearly averaging a triple-double on the season as a whole. In 49 games, the 21-year-old is putting up 28.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game (all career-highs) while shooting 46.1 percent from the field and 31.5 percent from deep.

The Mavs have once again transformed into a legitimate playoff team with Doncic at the helm. At 38-25, Dallas currently owns the seventh seed in the Western Conference and has a good chance of playing postseason basketball for the first time since 2016.

Luka Doncic also wasn't the only one to make an impact in Wednesday's marquee matchup. Dallas big man Kristaps Porzingis poured in 34 points and 12 rebounds while Brandon Ingram, Lonzo Ball and Williamson dropped 27, 25 and 21 points respectively for New Orleans.
