Dallas Mavericks star Kristaps Porzingis is in the news for the wrong reasons again.

Porzingis was caught on video in his home country of Latvia with a bloody face and ripped shirt after an apparent altercation, which wasn't documented on the video. He can be seen shoving a woman and yelling at somebody, all with police on the scene:

It's unclear exactly what happened here. There's already plenty of speculation going around on social media, and TMZ has some reporting of the incident:

Our sources say that a handful of Russians confronted Kristaps, supposedly upset with the fact that he'd switched teams down here in the States … and an all-out tussle broke out. It would appear to have been pretty violent, 'cause Kristaps was bleeding from his head.

Whatever the case, this certainly isn't a good look for Porzingis, who's already in hot water.

Just over a month ago, Porzingis was in plenty of headlines because of a sexual assault investigation. While Porzingis and his lawyer have claimed innocence, the investigation is ongoing and nothing has been resolved.

The Mavs acquired Porzingis from the New York Knicks in late January. The 7-foot-3 big man didn't play at all this season because of a torn ACL, but Dallas was hoping he'd be a long-term building block along with Luka Doncic when it traded for him.

We'll see if the Mavs truly feel any different about Kristaps Porzingis now that all these problems with him have come to light. The 23-year-old is set to be a restricted free agent this summer. The expectation was a massive new contract, but perhaps that will change.
