Kristaps Porzingis of the Dallas Mavericks went back to Madison Square Garden and faced the New York Knicks for the first time since being traded. As expected, fans booed the hell out of him. After the game, Porzingis shared his thoughts on the matter, noting how loud the boos were.

Per SNY, Porzingis expected the jeers. But what's he's most concerned is that they didn't get the win over his former team.

In the 106-103 loss, Porzingis finished with a double-double: 20 points and 11 rebounds. He was 7-of-17 from the field, 1-of-5 from deep, and 5-of-5 from the free-throw line. His performance comes in after a four-point (1-of-11 from the field) night in their loss to the Boston Celtics.

Porzingis was practically booed everything he had the ball in his hands. The boos got louder whenever he managed to score. It's pretty obvious that Knicks fans were not happy that he requested a trade last summer.

But as the Latvian said, the Knicks fans only know one side of the story. Various rumors reveal that Porzingis had fully recovered from his ACL tear but the Knicks front office still did not want him to suit up for fear that he might get injured again.

Now, Porzingis seems to have fully moved on from the drama. The Knicks fans, too, are now fully satisfied that they got their revenge. But best believe that when Porzingis returns to New York, he'll do everything in his power to get that victory.
