Miami Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal hasn't hesitated to leave his mark on the program, as he has been very active as a recruiter since his arrival. Entering Wednesday, Cristobal had landed nine ESPN 300 recruits in the coach's first class with the Hurricanes, one of the better showings in the SEC. The former Oregon head coach made another splash with his latest top recruit on Wednesday, beating other SEC powerhouses to the chase, as reported by Tom VanHaaren of ESPN.

Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal landed running back TreVonte Citizen on Wednesday, shockingly beating out SEC powerhouses such as Auburn, Florida and LSU. Citizen is also an ESPN 300 recruit as well as a four-star recruit.

Citizen is an imposing, physical running back who ran for over 1,000 yards and double-digit touchdowns during his last high school season. The latest Hurricanes recruit will give Cristobal and Miami a strong presence at running back in the SEC.

Not only that, but he'll also bring a personality as well. Citizen trolled the other SEC schools, specifically Auburn, LSU and Florida when making his final decision.

Clearly, TreVonte Citizen took pleasure in being a part of one of the biggest SEC recruit surprises of the day. One can bet that Mario Cristobal and Hurricanes fans took pleasure in it as well.
