The Michigan Wolverines have been one of the best teams in college basketball this season, but they've had a lengthy layoff recently. Despite not playing in a game for 23 days due to COVID-19, Michigan was able to complete a massive comeback to defeat the Wisconsin Badgers on Sunday.

Coming into Sunday's game versus Wisconsin, Michigan hadn't played in over three weeks, having their games against Indiana, Northwestern, and Illinois postponed in that span. Before they entered their 23-day hiatus, the Wolverines were on a two-game winning streak after beating Purdue and Maryland.

Early in Sunday's contest, the Wolverines looked flat to start the game, likely due to not playing a meaningful game since Jan. 22. However, they would overcome a 39-27 deficit at halftime to beat Wisconsin 67-59 on the road.

With their impressive win on Sunday, Michigan is now 14-1 on the season, and they also improved to 9-1 against Big Ten teams. As of this moment, the Wolverines are the third-ranked team in the country as Selection Sunday is in the coming weeks.

Sunday's comeback was led by Isaiah Livers, Franz Wagner, and Hunter Dickinson as they all combined for 45 points for the Wolverines. Michigan was also able to out-rebound Wisconsin 36-32 and they only had six turnovers compared to Wisconsin's 10 turnovers.

Juwan Howard, who is in his second year as the head coach at Michigan, has the Wolverines building a new culture this season. Even when they have to overcome a double-digit deficit and a long layoff, Michigan proved they can beat anyone on Sunday.
