Mike D'Antoni was lost for words after the Houston Rockets‘ disappointing loss against the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday. In what was their biggest game of the season, his team had a very poor game and was eliminated in a blowout, 114-75.

After the match, the veteran head coach was asked how he felt following the embarrassing loss. He admitted to have no reason for what happened them and said they will figure it out first, as it couldn't have sunk in yet to him at that point.

The Rockets surprised many when they finished the regular season with the third seed in the tough Western Conference. Behind their franchise player, James Harden, they were able to win 55 games and won against some of the top teams in the league.

With their summer coming early, D'Antoni and the Rockets will have a lot of time to go over what went wrong in their second round series against the Spurs, and make their adjustments for the next campaign. Now that they know what it will take to contend for the championship, it can be expected next year that they will play at a higher level, and be more prepared to battle against the other title favorites.
