Having made three selections in this 2018 NBA Draft, the Los Angeles Lakers made another score off the board, signing undrafted point guard Joel Berry II to a free agent deal, according to Michael Scotto of The Athletic.

The North Carolina senior won a championship with the Tar Heels in 2016-17, notably playing through injury and pulling through as the only legitimate 3-point threat — leading all scorers with 22 points and six assists.

Possessing the ability to take players off the dribble with a decent jumper, good defensive instincts and point guard skills, despite his small 6-foot frame, Berry is compact at 195 pounds.

Berry averaged 17.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game in his last season at North Carolina, shooting a sparkling 89.3 percent from the foul line.
