The Golden State Warriors were hoping that Kevin Durant could come back and make a major impact in Game 5 after coming back from a calf injury, but that was not the case. Unfortunately, in the second quarter, Durant went down with what appeared to be a calf or Achilles injury. Count Philadelphia 76ers' star big man Joel Embiid among those who ripped the Raptors' fan base for cheering the injury.

Embiid took to Twitter to share his disgust with the crowd eruption that happened when Durant went down.

There is no question that Embiid is right on track with this comment. Many fans and players have taken to social media to share this disappointment in the fans for cheering.

Durant's status for the rest of the game is unknown at this point in time. Hopefully, the injury has nothing to do with his Achilles. While a calf injury isn't a good thing, it would be much better than damage to the Achilles.

Golden State is playing in an elimination game in Toronto. The Raptors can win the Finals at home for a raucous group of fans that have been craving a championship for quite some time. Cheering on an injury will put a bit of a frown on the celebration from the rest of the league.

Stay tuned for more information on Kevin Durant's status and how serious the injury is as more information comes out.
