There was plenty at stake for the Toronto Raptors in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, and it that was evident by the television ratings in Canada.

The Raptors came up short in their quest to clinch their first-ever NBA title, as the Golden State Warriors found a way to rally for the victory after the serious injury to Kevin Durant in the second quarter.

But given what was on the line for the Raptors, it made sense that lots of people were interested to see whether they could prevent a three-peat for the Warriors.

And that led to more Canadians watching Game 5 of the NBA Finals than any other TV program this year, including the Super Bowl back in February, according to Darren Rovell of the Action Network.

Again, it probably isn't too surprising to see so many people invested in a game of that magnitude, especially since the Raptors seemed to have a great shot at winning the game and capturing the title.

But you certainly have to give the Warriors credit for the way they were able to come from behind and earn the road win, and the series now shifts back to Oakland for a huge Game 6 showdown on Thursday night at Oracle Arena.
